2 Month Old Everett

Our Big E is a growing boy!  At 2 months old, he weighed in at 13 lbs 4 oz and was 25 inches long.  He's dropped to only the 77% in weight (from the 97%) and rose to the 99/100% for length (from about 80% before).  Yep, he's still a big boy.  :)

Here's some information about 2 month old Everett:
  • He absolutely LOVES his sister.  Every time Sophie talks to him or spends very long near him where he can see her, he just smiles and stares at her.  I think it is the cutest thing!  Sometimes, Sophie even admits that her and Everett are friends.  :)  She does say this about me sometimes as well, though, so I'm not sure what she really thinks about us.
  • About half the time he sleeps through the night.  Blessings all around!
  • Tracks toys well when you move it in front of him.  He is very alert and notices things going on around him very well.
  • He smiles at me all the time!  I love it!  I think one of his nicknames should be "Smiles" because he's such a happy, smiling boy.
  • He began making baby noises.  I love listening to him "talking".
  • Right after he turned a month old, we did have to go up in clothing size to 3-6 month clothes.  Have I mentioned he's a big boy?
  • Finally he's become comfortable in his swing.  In fact, that's where he usually naps now.  He doesn't sleep long in his bouncer anymore and I can only hold him so much before he just becomes too heavy for me to comfortably hold him with my arms.  His swing is great and I'm so glad he's taken to it finally.
  • When we took Everett for his 1 month weigh in, we found out that he has eczema.  The poor boy was suffering horribly from a scratchy face and neck!  It's fine now as we've become used to lathering him up well with lotion twice a day.  Who doesn't love a good lotioned massage twice a day?!?
  • One of his favorite places to lay is on the changing table.  Very rarely is he doing anything but wiggling and smiling while laying there.
  • He may love laying on the changing table, but he does not like the actual act of putting on or taking off clothes.  He doesn't seem to care if he is naked or clothed, but get to either one quickly or he's likely to begin pouting and crying out.
Two months have sure passed rather quickly.  I realize now the time with Sophie was so precious when she was so little and I'm doing my best to remember Everett this little as much as I can.  Here's a few favorite shots of his pictures.

My absolute favorite picture of him so far.
