At one month old my big boy was already smiling as a reaction, what I believe they technically call a social smile. He would only do it sometimes and would do it when you would make his legs move like he was running. Sophie loved it too as a baby, but she didn't smile while doing it as early as he did. That was really the highlight of the month: being able to make my baby boy smile.
Here's a little of the memories from Everett's first month of life:
- Spent a week in the NICU. Turned out to have its own blessings.
- Had his days and nights worked out perfectly, going long stretches at night between feedings.
- LOVES his bouncer. Was almost the only place he wanted to be put down into.
- Smiles when you make him run, as mentioned above.
- Slept through the night for the first time the night before his 1 month birthday. Go Big E!
Sophie wanted in on some pictures, and I wanted some of her too. Here's a couple of shots of both of my beautiful kiddos.
| I was told the hands look almost the same, so to clarify the bottom one is Everett's and the top one with the arm showing is Sophie's. |

He is adorable! And he's not much smaller than my 6 month old! :D
Well, this was also a month ago. He's bigger now and has been wearing 3-6 month or 6 month clothing since he was a month old. It won't be but MAYBE another month before moving up again in size because he's getting too tall. He's just gonna be a big boy! I don't mind. No one will come messing with me or Sophie then. :)
