The letter B was just as much fun as the letter A overall. Some things look very similar, but that's because I still used the same awesome resources for these activities. The focus for this one was not only the letter B, but also the number 2 and the color blue. We really spent a lot of time on all the colors, but blue had a bit more because of the folder. Here's some pictures of her activities:
Coloring Bs, things with B, and attempting to start with writing skills by coloring along the lines.
The papers on the left are balls that each have a certain color to color them. The right are sequence cards, which she isn't too interested in really.
Butterflies in flowers.
Three part puzzle this lesson was a ball. Again, I put magnets on the back to stick to her magnetic white board and the refrigerator.
Playing with blocks for B learning. Added in color learning here, too (sorting by color, pointing out colors, asking what color, etc).
Sophie coloring her Bs.
Here is this lesson's folder. The front we decorated the letter B, which when you add antennas make a butterfly. It's easier to see for this one where Sophie helped to color it. She also was able to glue on most of the things as well.
Butterfly on the front of the folder.
Inside is another poem about a bee. The verse for this lesson was: Be ye kind one to another. Ephesians 4:32. The flashcards are in the pocket, which were much better for her this week with words like ball, bus, and butterfly. Inside the blue flap she colored a whale, a bird, and jeans blue.

The sign for the letter B is on the back. She's not very good at this one, but we're still working on it. :)
Back of the folder.
Some other things we did were trying to get Sophie to hold up 2 fingers (which she's still struggling to do), lace around a ball (not sure where the ball is now for a pic, but she again wasn't too interested), look at flashcards of all different types, focus on different B words, and play with a tote full of balls of different sizes. She really had fun with the tote of balls. They are still in the living room. We would put them in the tote, roll them down the lid, and say what colors they were. We would also just roll them to each other on the floor.
I really wanted to make a felt board and make some bean bags, but they were bypassed because of not feeling well. I may still make them at a later time, but I felt we needed to move on to the letter C. We don't have much more to do with C, so it won't be long until I get that post up as well...at least it shouldn't. :)
Again, these weren't all my ideas. Please see these sites for printouts, ideas, and wonderful blogs:
