Since Wednesday of last week, one of the grocery stores here was doing their Super Double coupons event. They doubled coupons of values up to $1.98. For example, you could have a $1.50 coupon that would double to be $3 off that item. Pretty awesome, if you ask me! I had done a little bit of coupon shopping at their last Super Doubles event, but this time I really put a lot of effort into it. It definitely paid off!
Here are the items I received for *FREE*:
3 Ivory 3 pack bar soap
2 Cutter's Backwoods insect repellent pens
4 Ortega seasoning packets (3 taco, 1 fajita)
3 Reynold's Heavy-Duty aluminum foil
3 Reynold's Non-Stick aluminum foil
3 boxes spaghetti noodles
1 box Fettuccine noodles
2 boxes whole wheat spaghetti noodles (that makes 5 boxes of spaghetti noodles!)
3 Bounty napkins (REALLY wanted more, but they didn't have any more in stock!!)
6 Colgate toothpaste (shouldn't need to buy for a while!)
2 Kotex pantyliners
1 Philadelphia Cooking Cream
1 Hungry Jack syrup
1 Scotch tape
Other good deals I had included:
2 packages Wholly Guacamole $2 ea
2 Dean's Guacamole $.67 ea
1 Scotch tape $.29
2 Hefty One Zip freezer bags $.45 ea
1 Tide to Go pen $.49
2 Frosted Mini Wheats $.50 ea
1 Smucker's Jam $.40
2 Tidy Cats 7lb cat litter $.27 ea
1 Snuggles dryer sheets $.99
1 Pine Sol $.69
4 Bailey's coffee creamers $.19 ea
2 Folger's Black Silk coffee $1.24 ea
2 Tide laundry detergents $3.70 ea
The total that all this would cost without a VIC card (Harris Teeter's shopper's card) and without coupons would have been $264.80. After VIC savings and coupons, I only paid out of pocket $36.99!! I've never been able to do this, so it's quite exciting! I really, really hope I can do this well next time they have this! Now if only I could do this at other stores. One day, if I keep working at it, hopefully!
