Yesterday, February 3, Brandon, Sophie, and I decided to go be part of the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, who are currently building a house in Virginia Beach. We went to be part of a march they organized to help fund the project and for the community to show support for the family. They called it Extreme March to Make a Difference. We arrived there, bought our t-shirts they wanted us to wear, then waited for them to tell us what to do. They wanted the shirts to be visible, so we had to wear them over our jackets. Needless to say we felt and looked a little silly, but that's ok!

While we were waiting, they took groups pictures of everyone that came out, though I'm not sure what they're going to do with them. If you watch the show, then you'll be familiar with Xzibit. He's one of the designers they currently have on there. He came over to the parking lot we were gathered at and thanked us for coming. Then, they shot a PSA for A Better Community. We were part of the group shot at the end, but I'm not sure if you'd be able to see us since there were about 1,000 people there.

After the PSA was done, we then walked with everyone else, led by the Old Dominion University marching band, to see the house. It looks great! While we were walking we caught sight of Xzibit again and a surprised sighting of Ed, another designer from the show.
Hard to see him, but Ed is behind all these people.
The house seemed to be pretty much done on the outside and it looks great! I can't wait to see the show to see what it all looks like inside!

The show should air in about 6-8 weeks. Keep an eye out for it! Here's a few more pictures:
Congressman Scott Rigell thanking everyone while standing with 2 of the family's daughters.
Just part of things being built. Not sure what they are but hoping I can find out when we watch the show!
I overheard that this the couple's bed being built.
