Our library puts on some great free learning events. Last Saturday, we were able to go to an event that taught about some animals. The woman who educated us owns Wild Things ZOOfari, a company she uses to try to educate and entertain the public about animals. She brought several different ones for us to learn about. I personally thought the most interesting thing was that they were all her personal animals she keeps at home. She has more at home, but even with just these, it would be like living in a zoo.
*Note: not all the pictures were great ones, but I wanted to show the animals she had so please excuse the blurriness. :)

| A gray bearded dragon named Spike. Sophie had NO interest in touching him! |
| Ring-tailed lemur, Oliver. Sophie wanted to pet this one when he came around. |
| A genet. Can't remember his name. Looked like a ferret, with a ring-tail, and spotted like a bobcat. Beautiful! |
| Hedgehog, named Salt. Sophie did pet this one, but just for a second. |
| Possom. Learned some interesting facts about their babies. Sophie was listening intently. |
| Cotton Top Tamarin named Lucy. Loved seeing her. Sophie just remembers she was wearing a diaper. |
If you're local (from San Antonio, Austin, or Houston areas) you can find more information about this group
HERE about booking them. I highly recommend it!
Just for fun, here's my little monkey hanging out with Daddy during the presentation. :)
