Trail of Lights for Sophie's Birthday *Pic Heavy!*

Since Sophie's birthday falls so close to Christmas, she gets to enjoy Christmas festivities with her birthday.  For her 2nd birthday on December 14, it happened to fall on a Friday.  Unfortunately Brandon had to work, but instead of sitting home by ourselves like we always do, I decided to take Sophie to a local light show. The lights were being displayed in a park that was the location of a brewery years ago.  The house is still there and was beautifully decorated for Christmas.  We were able to walk through it as well, the only inside part of the walk.  Santa Claus and snacks were in a large room together so it was really convenient and easy to just slip passed all of that and keep Sophie out of those since we don't/can't participate in them.  Since it was a walking tour, Sophie was able to fully enjoy the lights and not have to struggle to see them out of her car seat.  She loved it!  It seems I am not fabulous with my camera at night (need more practice!), but I did get some halfway decent pictures of her and some of the lights while we were there.  Here are some of the ones I took:

She loved playing with these lights that lined the pathway.

A river and some deer

Nativity scene.  This was actually very large.  Not sure if you can tell from the picture.

Each night of the show they had a different band playing classic Christmas songs, some in German or Czech. It was beautiful listening to them.

I think this is my favorite one of the night.

Had a kind stranger take one of us.  It's rare I get one with her anymore. :)

Cheesing at the camera!

I almost wondered why you let her look at Christmas lights...at night...with no coat on. Then I remembered that you are in Texas! Looks like it was fun, and I think your pics turned out good. Night time is hard!

Lol, Andrea. It is in fact Texas and I believe it was in the 60s that evening. I was in short sleeves, which is the only reason I'm wearing a sweater. Sophie also gets hot easily so she wasn't cold. We did have fun! She loves Christmas lights.
